So, the WWE crew are heading back across the pond for the 'Road to Wrestlemania tour'. Anyone who watches WWE programming
will know that they have had some superstarts appear in little promotional segments to promote the tours matches. However
after attending a show in Manchester on the Survivor Series Tour last November i have a feeling that this tour will be just
as boring.
Sure it's creeping up to WWE's premier event, the GRAND DADDY OF THEM ALL! Wrestlemania 22! But WWE could care less,
they will feed the crowd boring, Stereo-typed matches much like the ones i witnessed on my visit to the M.E.N arena. Such
as the plain Nick Nemeth taking on the now retired (Blame WWE!) 'Japenese Buzzsaw' Tajiri. So to anyone attending these events
that are bound to end up ebizmail, please take something to amuse yourself throughout the undercard.
The
next topic i have decided to discuss this month is the topic of WWE's 'Velocity' and the wrestlers that make it what it is.
The show is full of smackdown-rejects. But the matches they produce are in my view and others, better then the matches we
see each and every week on Smackdown!. Now don't think i'm talking about Simon Dean and his meat-heads 'Gymani' because i
am DEFINATELY not. I'm talking about wrestlers who are classed as 'cruiserweights'. Wrestlers who have competed in indies
prior to their WWE careers. Paul London, Brian Kendrick (Spanky), Jamie Noble, Super Crazy and Kid Kash.
Paul London, a former WWE Cruiserweight Champion and Tag Team Champion (With Billy Kidman), trained
by Rudy Boy Gonzalez is a phenomenal talent that in many people's view has gone to waste in 'World Wrestling
Entertainment'. My view agrees with these 'many people'. London, who previously competed for leading US independent group
'Ring Of Honor', has been used incorrectly during his long stay in WWE. Debuting on October 9th 2003 in a 'tryout match' against
the current IWGP Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar. These days he's on the 'second rate' show to Smackdown! Velocity.
Brian Kendrick (Spanky), starting his wrestling
career on October 1999 against now Ring Of Honor Champion Bryan Danielson. Has competed around the globe. Using his finishing
move 'Sliced Bread 2' to defeat his opponents. From ROH to Zero-One. Spanky Debuted in WWE with a strange gimmick. One in
which he took on the character of local sports teams as WWE travelled around it's usual route. His first match against Funaki
was broadcasted on Velocity and since returning to WWE after a long time away from 'Sports Entertainment' Kendrick has been
accomidated mostly on the show.
Jamie Noble. Who since his
WWE debut on the June 6th 2002 episode of Smackdown! has impressed me. Competing as Jamie San in WCW, part of the 'Jung Dragons'
from March 13th 2000 to November 8th 2000, then as Jamie Knoble from November 20th 2000 till February 8th 2001. The Former
WWE Cruiserweight Champion, tried his luck on the indy curcuit, ending up in ROH. And after defeating CM Punk, Christopher
Daniels and Samoa Joe in a four way became Ring Of Honor Champion. However he returned to WWE to compete in the cruiserweight
division and since then has been stuck in weekend show hell.
Super Crazy. Part of cruiserweight stable 'The Mexicools' is known for his
lucha libra style of wrestling. Crazy, who debuted on the mexican independent circuit in the year of 1991 made his name known
in ECW. Kicking off his career in 1998, engaging in a famous feud with Tajiri. Crazy stole the show at last years ECW 'One
Night Stand' pay per view with a " Super Crazy Moonsault " balcony dive. Since then he's been a WWE regular. Who although
is featured on Smackdown! from time to time is a mainstay on the saturday show.
